The Marketing Intern is a talented and committed student or professional
who is responsible for supporting the work of the Marketing team to be
successful. This position will report to the Director of Marketing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to all members of the Marketing team
including PR, advertising, digital, external relations, campaigns and
Send communications to key supporters, clients and partners
Support on event logistics and management for both major trade shows
and community events
Provide digital support where needed, including copywriting, analysis
Manage all supplies and stock, including materials tracking and mailing
prizes and support materials to commercial partners and supporter
Support on grassroots outreach
Enter data into different systems including Salesforce, Connect and
Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing,
retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
Assist with promotional activities
Position may require work on holidays, evenings or weekends mainly around
trade show or events and compensatory time may be offered. There may be
travel and other duties or responsibilities assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree and/or currently studying for a degree
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with close
attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal, writing and verbal skills are required
An excellent and meticulous organizer
Flexible, creative team player willing to willing to step into whatever
task is required to get the job done
Ability to work well with a wide range of people, under pressure
Good computer skills are required, including familiarity with database
and spreadsheet programs, CMS & CRM systems, e-newsletter systems,
and social media
Knowledge and commitment to Fairtrade and development issues desired

The Marketing Intern will be employed on a part-time hourly basis during
the Autumn semester. Exact days and hours are flexible but expected to
total 20 hours per week. Our internship is paid at a rate of $13.25/hour.
